Escape Lifeboat

An idea for a lifeboat. It uses (fictional) a drive system similar to the field projector from the 80's movie "Explorers". In my design instead of having the field surround the craft, it sits inside a small housing within the ship (pictured) By controlling the field "orb", the ship basically rides it like a gravity unicycle and can move in any direction and speed with the only limits being pilot strain and hull integrity. The wings and airfoils are for atmospheric flight only.
